ANTIFOULING SILIC ONE

The Hempel Silic One Black antifouling, 0.75 litres, is a Fouling Release coating based on silicone and biocide-free hydrogel, giving the surface water-like properties: fouling organisms can no longer settle easily on the hull and quickly fall off as soon as the boat is in motion. A silicone-based hydrogel microlayer provides a smooth, repellent coating with reduced surface energy that prevents organisms from adhering to the hull and propellers, while silicone polymers facilitate a self-cleaning effect. The hydrogel is based on unique, non-reactive polymers that, once added to the paint, form an invisible protective layer between the hull surface and the water: fouling organisms perceive the hull as a liquid and are therefore much less likely to adhere. Suitable for fibreglass and steel boats in cold, temperate and warm water.
