24 g gas cylinder with green pins and a salt-tablet capsule, a spare for automatic-firing life jackets.
Spare parts (CO2 cylinders, firing pins, refill kits) are meant as a reserve to keep on board, not as a substitute for mandatory periodic servicing. Under current regulations, self-inflating life jackets must be serviced and certified by authorised service centres, following the manufacturer's instructions. Replacing the cylinder yourself is not the same as a certified service and does not, on its own, restore the device's regulatory compliance.
