The Quick gearbox for 500W motors increases the torque delivered to the gypsy by reducing the electric motor's speed: it's the most heavily stressed mechanical part of the windlass, between gears and seals against saltwater ingress, and should be replaced in case of noise or seizing, reduced retrieval speed, grease leakage, or after an overload event (for example a stuck anchor). Compatible with Aries, Flair, Rider, Heron, Tauro, Prince Dp1 windlasses.
