BOW SHACKLE GALVANIZED STEEL

Plastimo's bow shackle in galvanized steel is the right choice for the anchoring line: paired with galvanized chain, it avoids the galvanic corrosion that sets in when two different metals stay in contact in seawater. In a chain locker or buried in the seabed, stainless steel also risks pitting corrosion that spreads beneath the surface with no visible warning, right up to sudden failure; galvanized steel instead shows rust and wear well before it fails, making it easy to spot a shackle that needs replacing during routine inspections. The pear shape lets it connect several lines, rings or terminals on the same pin. CE marking and diameter are stamped directly on the body.
