D SHACKLE GALVANIZED STEEL

Plastimo's D-shackle in galvanized steel is the right choice for the anchoring line: paired with galvanized chain, it avoids the galvanic corrosion that sets in when two different metals stay in contact in seawater. In a chain locker or buried in the seabed, stainless steel also risks pitting corrosion that spreads beneath the surface with no visible warning, right up to sudden failure; galvanized steel instead shows rust and wear well before it fails, making it easy to spot a shackle that needs replacing during routine inspections. The narrow, straight body ensures a reliable in-line connection. CE marking and diameter are stamped directly on the body.
